Phillip Phillips took a little break from his Canadian tour on Tuesday to play a show at the historical Genesee Theatre, in Waukegan, Illinois.

Although this was his only US stop during the tour, many fans showed their appreciation by driving from nearby cities to catch the show. Phillip and the band played an amazing concert, and included a couple of recent additions to the set list, “Digging In The Dirt,” a new Peter Gabriel cover and “Creatures,” a dark,  still unreleased song that has already become a fan favorite.

Phillip was in Chicago on Monday shooting the video for “Raging Fire,” and headed back to Canada today, where he kicked off the second leg of his Canadian tour in Winnipeg, MB.
