It’s been just over a week since Phillip Phillips new album Collateral came out. And next Friday, February 9, Phillip will kick off his Magnetic Tour to celebrate the release and bring the new music to cities across the US.
Phillip will open his tour in Cherokee, NC, and then make stops in Charlotte, NC, two stops in Cambridge, MA and a stop in New York, NY on February 18. Phillip will then head south and play three shows in his home state of Georgia, as well as Nashville, TN and Charleston, NC. Shows in the West Coast include a Seattle, WA, Portland, OR and San Francisco and Los Angeles in California. To the joy of some lucky Canadian fans, Phillip will also visit Vancouver and Toronto north of the border.
This is Phillip’s first headlining tour since he co-headlined his 2016 tour with Matt Nathanson. This being a winter/spring tour, the venues include some great clubs and small theatres which promise to bring an intimate feel to the shows.
In addition, as he has been doing since last year’s tour with the Goo Goo Dolls, most tickets include a VIP option which provides fans in each city the opportunity to enjoy a short acoustic pre-concert performance, a meet and greet with Phillip and many other great memorabilia.
Joining Phillip on the tour are two amazing bands that are sure to elevate the shows to a new level. Nashville duo the Striking Matches will open for Phillip during the first leg of the tour, and The Ballroom Thieves from Boston, MA will joint Phillip the remainder of the tour. The tour dates tour will go from February 9 to April 14, with a last show in Chattanooga, TN.
In the last six years Phillip has played with an incredible number of musicians on tour. It will be a surprise to see who will be joining Phillip this time. We know that whoever it is will be excellent, though we are hoping to see some familiar faces.
Some shows are already sold out, so don’t wait, get your tickets to see Phillip on his Magnetic Tour now!
