Phillip Phillips’ Canadian Tour – The Venues
Phillip Phillips’ Canadian Tour is only three weeks away. Needless to say, excitement is mounting, and not only for Canadian fans.
With a new album on the works, the Canadian tour could very well coincide with exciting news about a possible release date, or even more amazing, the actual release of a brand new single. This may be wishful thinking from us, but would not be out of character; so far Phillip has always found ways to surprise fans with unannounced album releases (iTunes Session), and impromptu performances of new, unreleased songs. One thing is for sure, Phillip’s first Canadian tour will be unforgettable for all Canadian fans, those that have been following him since the beginning and the new ones he’ll create along the way. We will celebrate this very special tour by following Phillip and his band from their first show in Halifax, Nova Scotia in the East Coast, all the way to Vancouver, on the Pacific coast.
During the tour, Phillip will play some beautiful venues across the country, but will also make a stop at historical Genesee Theatre in Waukegan, IL in the US. Take a closer look at the tour dates, cities and venues below.

Phillip Phillips at Barclays Center in Brooklyn 12/17/13
It was the perfect ending to a perfect tour. Last night, Phillip Phillips played the last show in support of John Mayer at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY and there were quite a few special moments to mark the special night.
First, cellist extraordinaire and frequent bandmate Dave Eggar, joined the band for the last two shows on the tour, including last night’s show. With the addition of Eggar’s cello, the band treated the fans to a cover of the Beatles’ Eleanor Rigby. And then, to close his set, Phillip did his amazing “Lollipop” mash up followed by “Home.”
But that was not the last fans would see of Phillip, as later during John Mayer’s set, he joined him on stage during his rendition of “Please Come Home For Christmas.” Phillip came on stage without his guitar and sang a few lines from the song.
Although Phillip’s fans are sad the tour is over, it could not have ended on a higher note; we are sure the memories and great music played in the last few months will be remembered for a long time to come.
Check out the set list, videos and great photos from last night below!

During the interview, Phillip talked about his passion for performing live and the difference between playing with a full band or just acoustically with another guitar player. He also talked about songwriting and how he hopes the next album will be completely written or co-written by him.

On Playing Live
To me, if you can’t play a song live then there’s no point of putting it on the album. I like to change up the songs and make ’em different.
On Writing
I’m all about the writing. I wanna have a connection with it so when I get up on stage I feel something towards it and I can go back and remember why I wrote it
On How it Began
I picked up a guitar when I was 14 and fell in love with it. I had a little karaoke machine I would play CD’s or cassette tapes out of. I didn’t start singing until about 17 or 18 and that’s when it really inspired me to start writing.
On New Fame
I don’t know how to take it sometimes. I’m trying to figure it all out. I say it every night I’m just thankful for all the fans. I’d never be here without ’em.
“Where We Came From” Gets Another Spectacular Video
Phillip Phillips has been very busy lately promoting “Where We Came From”, the third single from his album The World From The Side Of The Moon and the first one where he has writing credits. Last week, Phillips surprised his fans with a beautiful video of the song featuring him and his band performing the song live during his stop at the Alaska State Fair last summer.
Phillip Phillips, ‘Where We Came From (Live)’: Exclusive Video Premiere
Phillip Phillips traveled way, way north to the Alaska State Fair last month for a concert. Today, Phillips and co. are releasing footage from that performance — particularly of the song “Where We Came From” — and Billboard has the exclusive premiere.Continue Reading →
