The wait is almost over, Phillip Phillips and Matt Nathanson’ summer tour is less than a week away! The 40 dates U.S. summer tour starts this Friday, June 17 in San Diego, California and will take Phillip and Matt across the country, including 3 more shows in California, and stops in Las Vegas, NV, St Louis, MO, Boise, ID, and Atlanta, GA. The tour closes on August 13 at the Wisconsin State Fair in Milwaukee. The tour will not only bring Phillip’s and Matt’s fans together, but also fans of A Great Big World and Eric Hutchinson, who will join the tour on select dates.
Last week, all of them got together for a Google Hangout to chat about what fans can expect during the tour. Judging by the hilarious good time they had, there is no doubt this is going to be a fun and hot tour. In addition, Phillip took to Periscope over the weekend and candidly shared some details about the new album. Although he was not able to share any of the new music, he revealed the album recording is almost done and that we can expect some amazing “rockers” as well as some blues, funk, and a beautiful sound overall. He credited this to Ryan Hadlock, owner, producer and mixing engineer at Bear Creek Studio, in Seattle, were the album was recorded. (Scroll down to the end to see Phillip’s Periscope and the full Google Hangout).
Best of all, Phillip hinted at the almost certain possibility of playing some of the new songs on tour, so if you haven’t purchased your tickets yet, click HERE right away to get them! The full list of dates is below.
